Man and Van Sutton - The Olympic Torch heads for Sutton
The Olympic Torch will arrive from Greece exactly in a year and will kick off in Land’s End and will continue on 70 days way through the country until the opening ceremony on July 27.
The Torch will stop even in Sutton, even though the organisers don’t know who will be carrying it. Now they are trying to nominate inspirational people who will be honoured to carry The Torch. The exact details are not known now even for the organisers, but they will be announced later. The Torch will be carried by 8000 people, each for approximately 0.2 miles.
We don’t know the exact details about the way of Torch in Sutton, but it will appear in this area one week before the beginning of the Olympics. The Organising London Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games gave a chance to public to nominate inspirative people from local communities. They are expected to be aged from 12- 24. If you know about anybody, who deserves the honour of carrying the Torch in your area, do not hesitate to visit website http://www.london2012.com/games/olympic-torch-relay/index.php You can vote untill the end of June 2011.
Our Man and Van Sutton team is full of people with sport mind and is looking forward to this event!
